Senior Citizen Discount Bridge Toll Program

This program allows you to pay a reduced fare on bridge tolls run by the Delaware River Port Authority (DRPA). The discount can be used at anytime on the following four bridges:
  • Benjamin Franklin
  • Walt Whitman
  • Betsy Ross
  • Commodore Barry
The discount amount is half the full price of the toll. You must always be in the car when the discount is being applied. You can use the reduced fare on passenger vehicles only. Commercial vehicles cannot get the discount. Please note: If you misuse the discount in any way, DRPA has the right to request the full cash value retroactively for all transactions for which a discounted toll had been previously charged.

How do I apply?

You can apply for this program by getting a New Jersey E-ZPass account and submitting your Senior Discount Program Application (Form 135-1) to DRPA. It takes at least 4 to 5 weeks for process the application. To verify that you are registered for the program, you can call NJ E-ZPass Customer Service Center at: (888) 288-6865 or you can check your account online. Once you enter your EZPass account and pin number, click the “Plans” link and look for the code “DRPA Senior Citizen Plan” to see if you have been approved for the discount program.

Am I eligible?

You can take part in this program if you meet all of the following requirements:

  • you are a driver, 65 years of age or older
  • you are a resident of the tri-state area (New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware)
  • your vehicle or vehicles are registered in at least one of the states
Additionally, to get this discount, you must have a non-commercial E-ZPass account with the New Jersey Customer Service Center before applying for the Senior Citizen Discount Bridge Toll Program. If you do not already have an E-ZPass account, please register for one.
